Three at a time for Motherwell

Richard Tait is a 26 year old right back who established himself in a four year spell at Tamworth before appearing for Cambridge United and lately Grimsby Town.  It seems he’ll wear the number 2 jersey.  He has a three year deal.

Ben Heneghan is a 6’ 4” central defender who has just completed a two year contract with Chester.  The 22 year old has signed on at Fir Park until 2018 and he’ll be hoping to get a regular starting place in the middle of our back line.

Jacob Blyth fits the bill for a type of forward the manager feels we lack.  He describes himself as “an old fashioned centre forward”, a target man who likes to bring others into play.  The 23 year old stands 6’ 3” tall and he has a two year deal with a further optional year.   He was at Leicester and from there gained much experience with a series of loan moves.  He speaks highly of the education he gained thanks to Ranieri and Vardy.

With offers to McDonald, Hammell and McFadden still open there is still some uncertainty about the composition of the squad.  Pre-season training starts on Monday.  The current player list seems to be....
