Good things keep happening to David Turnbull.  The Motherwell midfielder scored his first two senior goals last week and now he has been called into the Scotland U20 squad.  Congratulations, David.

Scot Gemmill has named 18 players for the upcoming friendly match against Turkey on Saturday, 17 November.  The game will be played in Murcia in Spain.

Our rising star is already familiar with the dark blue jersey having played on three occasions for the national U19 team but it is his impressive appearances in claret and amber that have placed him in the limelight.

His first showing for the Motherwell first team this season came in Paisley last Wednesday when he capped a composed performance with the opening goal that led to a 2-0 win.

On Saturday he delivered another fine display and stunned the crowd with a wonderful 30 drive to win the match.

His inclusion in the Scotland U20 is no surprise and well deserved.
