TV moves Motherwell v Rangers

Any plans fans had for the first visit of Rangers to Fir Park on Saturday 25 August will have to be altered to accommodate BT Sport’s decision to move the game to Sunday 26th August with a 1215 kick off.

Supporters are reluctantly resigned to their calendars being determined by the whims of the broadcasters and it is no surprise to learn that this match in round three of the Premiership has been chosen.

The ball almost reached the TV gantry in February

It is likely that this will be the second Sunday in August when Motherwell will be in action.  Assuming Hibs overcome Hsi Runavik of the Faroe Islands they will be involved in a second round second leg tie on Thursday 2 August and that will push our opening game of the league campaign to Sunday 5 August at Easter Road.

We will see some Saturday action at Fir Park in August as Hamilton will cross the Clyde for the first Lanarkshire derby of the season on 11 August.  The following weekend is reserved for the first knockout round of the Betfred Cup.
