Tynecastle in Claret and Amber

Last updated : 05 December 2017 By Firparkcorner

Motherwell fans have had many a happy day in Gorgie.  How many remember our visit in 2005 when the old stadium was showered in claret and amber ribbons?

Hearts must have been sick at the prospect of our visit at the end of April 2005.  It was to be our fifth meeting that season and Motherwell has already recorded four wins (two 2-0 wins at Fir Park, a 1-0 win at Tynecastle and the famous 3-2 League Cup semi-final win at Easter Road).

The Tifo habit was in its infancy but the trend for fans to launch a colourful welcome for their favourites was growing.  Flow and pals decided that the steep slope of the Roseburn Stand would be the perfect spot to welcome the team on to the pitch.
