'Well fans of an optimistic nature could be forgiven for seeing some similarities to this time last season. While wonderful away form put us in a strong position through the first half of the year, it was home form which then secured third. This was coupled with crucial six-point wins over St Johnstone and Hearts, and if we can continue our recent Fir Park upturn this Saturday, more European football will look a real possibility.

We have a remarkable record against Inverness this season having thrashed them twice - and the away victory could almost have been double figures. Despite this, they deserve huge respect for their efforts so far and only a fool would predict an easy home win this time around.
Our cause will certainly not be made easier by Lasley's idiotic suspension and it can only be hoped he feels suitably embarrassed by his actions. Kerr missing is less of a blow but our thin squad can hardly afford to give up what little options we have. Carswell and Law would seem the obvious middle pair with Humphrey, Angol and Ojamaa in consideration for the starting wide berths. Higdon will obviously lead the line up front while McHugh will wonder if his long awaited regular chance will now materialise.
Regardless of how Kilmarnock are playing, they always seem to perform well against us. We are presently in a similar run against Inverness and we can hope it lasts at least one more game to bring us an important 2-1 victory.
